The MBA for founders,
written in the field.

SRP: The Founder Playbook is Jack Hunter's complete operating manual for building a company — from the mindset that starts it, to the money that funds it, to the scale that makes it matter. No theory for theory's sake. Just what works, and why.

“Entrepreneurship doesn't belong to the connected or the credentialed. It belongs to anyone willing to learn, work, and serve.” — Jack Hunter

What's Inside

Four parts. One complete playbook.

The book follows the arc of a company's life — the same arc Jack teaches in the course, the webinars, and the room. Each part stands alone; together they're the whole education.

Part One

The Entrepreneur's Mindset & the SRP Framework

Before the business plan, the builder. Part One rewires how you think about risk, ownership, and what you're actually in business to do.

  • The SRP Framework: Serve, Risk, Persist — the operating system of the book
  • The ownership mindset: thinking like an owner before you own anything
  • Deciding to build: separating a real calling from a passing itch
  • Fear, failure, and the founder's relationship with uncertainty
  • Why service — to customers, teams, and community — is a strategy, not a slogan

Part Two

Building the Company

From a napkin sketch to a machine that runs without you in the room. The unglamorous, decisive work of the first two years.

  • Finding the problem worth ten years of your life
  • First customers before first logos: selling when nobody knows you
  • Co-founders, early hires, and the culture you set by accident
  • Positioning, pricing, and unit economics a founder can actually use
  • Systems and rhythm: the weekly cadence of a healthy young company

Part Three

Raising Money

Capital is a tool, not a trophy. Part Three demystifies every stage of funding — and when to skip it entirely.

  • Bootstrap vs. raise: an honest framework for the biggest fork in the road
  • Friends & family to Series A: what each round really requires
  • The pitch: telling the truth in a way investors can act on
  • Term sheets, dilution, and control — the clauses that decide your future
  • Investor relationships after the wire hits: reporting, trust, and leverage

Part Four

Scaling

The company that got you here won't get you there. How founders become CEOs — and build wealth and legacy on purpose.

  • From operator to CEO: firing yourself from your first job
  • Building a leadership team that argues well and executes better
  • Second products, new markets, and the discipline of focus
  • Founder wealth: liquidity, exits, and keeping what you build
  • Legacy: companies, people, and communities that outlast you

About Jack

Not born into it. Built into it.

Jack Hunter didn't inherit a network, a trust fund, or a famous last name. He started his first company with a used truck, a borrowed phone line, and a promise to do the work better than anyone else would. Over the decades since, he has built, bought, funded, and sold companies across industries — and made most of the mistakes this book warns you about.

SRP: The Founder Playbook is everything he wishes someone had handed him at the start: the mindset, the mechanics, the money, and the scale — written plainly, for people doing the work.

His mission is simple and personal: entrepreneurship should belong to anyone willing to learn, work, and serve — not just the well-connected or the well-capitalized. The book, the course, the webinars, and the events all exist to make that true.

01

Serve

Every durable business is built on someone else's problem solved well. Service isn't the soft part of strategy — it is the strategy.

02

Risk

Risk isn't recklessness. It's the discipline of betting on yourself with clear eyes, sized stakes, and the willingness to be wrong in public.

03

Persist

Most companies don't fail — founders quit. The playbook exists so that on the hardest days, you know exactly what to do next.

Serve. Risk. Persist. — the three commitments behind every chapter, every session, and every room Jack teaches in.
